The Govt had promised that children who apply before the end of the year under EU rules could still be transferred. And they’ve repeatedly claimed family reunion will still be possible after Brexit under UK rules - despite these rules being far more restrictive

So why are children in Calais being told there’s no hope? At minimum why has the UK not informed the French that this route will remain open? And that children may still apply to join family under the UK’s immigration rules?
