#Wales has is effectively closing its NHS down due to staffing pressures and absence and covid pressures.

As of 7th December 2020

Absence was 2.2% up 0.2%
Covid absence 1.3% up 0.2%

Peak wave 1 was 5% and 2%

Status: Normal

Wales does not have a covid staffing crisis. Fact.
Wales beds:

Since 10th November wales has reduced its ventilation beds 86 while claiming it is in crisis!

12% are still empty even though they reduced beds.

Status: Excellent
Acute beds: capacity up over 200 since 10th november.

Occupied 83%
Free 17%

Status: Excellent
In short they saw a 100 case jump on 9th dec, but well within capacity capability.

An estimated 50% were readmissions, possinly higher.

Estimated 25% of wales covid patients actually need covid treatment.
Fact: The Welsh Government shutdown of the NHS is neither proportional nor justifiable in these circumstances.
