The scary part of doing art - any kind - is that you have so many ideas you're in love with that you don't want to fuck up, so you say "I'll do Other Stuff and wait until I'm good enough to get to the Good Stuff."

You see the problem there, right? It's just a method of procrastination, of letting your anxiety over not being good enough rule your growth as an artist.

Just fucking do it now. You can always take another swing at that story or painting or what have you once you've got a few more years under your belt. But you'll never have that chance if you don't start the process of learning and refining.
