(1) You Are Not Alone
Do you sometimes feel all alone? Do you ever wonder if anyone out there cares about what you’re going through?
When it feels like no one else is around, know that God is always here with you—even right now in this very moment. In your most triumphant victories and in your darkest cries for help, He’s always there beside you. He’ll never leave.
In fact, the Bible tells us that we can never run too far from God or flee from His presence. No matter how many times you mess up, how many of your friends desert you, or how helpless life can seem at times, God constantly surrounds you.
He’s saying to you today, “I will be with you wherever you go.” He’s encouraging you, “Be strong and courageous.” He’s promising you, “I will strengthen you and help you.” You are not alone!
(2) You Are Loved
Have you ever felt unlovable, as if no one could ever love the real you?
The truth is, you are loved unconditionally by the God who created you. No matter how many mistakes you’ve made, or how unworthy of love you think you are, God will always call you His child.
God doesn’t just love us as an action. He actually is the very essence of love, which the Bible tells us we can know and rely on. And this love that God gives so freely to you?
You can never be torn away from it. Death, life, the present, the future—none of those have enough power to separate you from the love of God.
God doesn’t just say He loves us, though. He proved it to us by sending His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die as payment for all the sins of humanity. Jesus didn’t stay dead—He miraculously rose from the grave. -
defeating death forever and providing a way for you to have a relationship with Him for the rest of your life and for all eternity.
(3) You Are Valued
Do you ever feel like you’re not worth much anymore? Like you’re damaged goods?
The Bible couldn’t be more clear about how valued you are in the eyes of God. No matter what you tell yourself in your lowest moments, the truth is that God created you as His perfect masterpiece.
In God’s eyes, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. He carefully crafted you while you were still in your mother’s womb, and He created you in His own image. He loves you as His own child, and even knows how many hairs you have on your head!
Jesus tells us that not even a bird can fall from the sky without God knowing and caring for it. If He cares that much for a bird, can you imagine how much He must know and care for you, His perfect masterpiece creation? You are valued!
(4) Your Life Has A Purpose
Do you worry a lot about the future? Do you spend a lot of time wondering if things will ever get better, or if life will always be this difficult?
Even when life seems bleak or you feel like the greatest failure, God still has an amazing purpose for your life.
The Bible tells us that God didn’t create us to be victims or to suffer, but to do good works and to prosper. This doesn’t mean that life will always be easy or that things will always go your way; it means that even in the hard times.
God has a higher plan and is orchestrating everything to your good.
You may be thinking, “But how could He possibly turn my misery into something good?” Maybe one day you’ll be able to help someone through the same situation you’re going through right now. When I was in my dark pit, I was saved from a suicidal death, here I am writing this.
He turned my mess into a message and he can do the same with you! I am here writing this today because Jesus saved me from my depression. My depression had killed me inside from a young age, but you need to block all these lies out with the TRUTH.
(5) You Can Overcome This Darkness
Is there any way to handle the pain you’re facing? Can you ever escape it?
With God’s help, the answer is yes. When thoughts of hurting yourself or giving up completely start flooding your mind, choose to reject the lies and focus instead on God’s promises to you.
