*cracks knuckles* Ahh it's been a while.. Let's roll.
Things new ARMY and bad army need to know...
1. The line in the sand. Yes, THE LINE. Boundaries. We are fans. They do not owe us anything. And, frankly, they give us a lot. If it isn't coming from their lips, ignore it. +
We do not need to know their private life, we should never invade their private life or condone anyone else doing so. They are human and have their right to privacy and lives outside the spotlight. Be happy with the gazillion hours of content they DO provide.
2. READ. For Bangtan sake, read stuff fully, investigate, form your own opinion. Most of this crap we trend or blow up could simply be left alone to rot and die. THINK before you react.
3. ARMY ACTIONS HAVE BANGTAN CONSEQUENCES. Yeah it's a screen and a keyboard, but there is a reason the crazy fan rhetoric still exists. Because we still see it and it sticks in people's heads. There's every possibility that your fake, unnecessary attack will shut doors +
the guys worked so hard to crack. If every time you mentioned the word 'shoe' someone was jumping up your ass, you'd stop saying all together. So stop it, your fake woke BS is hurting the guys.
4. Trust. Forget that BS company Stan line. Bighit has proven time and again they know what they're doing. Bangtan has proved time and again they know what they're doing. And they like doing it together. If your story really needs a villain for you to be happy, it's you. +
There are a lot of employees who are checking things, okaying things, doing work we never see. Most of the time the crap I see trending doesn't even need mentioned, let alone mass emailed to some poor employee who has to filter it out. Worse, doing so means the important stuff +
You know safety threats, copyrights, actual slander/libel, takes longer to get seen and addressed. It's amazing we have access to emails to use. But use them wisely.
5. This is harsh, but... STOP BEING A FUCKING KAREN YOU LITTLE TWATS. Not everything is about you. You're not an expert on everything. Not everyone needs your two cents thrown in. And when you don't 'know' the conversation, stop trying to take it over.
For example, I'm a white +
American woman. No way in fucking hell am I going to claim or try to tell a South Korean how to feel/react to something. No way am I going to comment on the politics of China. Idk anything about those worlds, it's not my place. I may choose to stand in support once I've +
educated myself, but I do the legwork. I don't assume I know what's going on from 2-3 tweets. Do the fucking legwork. Trace that tweet back to its original. Open a news article or ten. I know a lot of you are bored, trapped at home... Quit using these moments to release +
aggression or frustration. 'oh I totally get it' no, no... You probably don't. So stfu and sit down. Let the trusted people handle it.
6. Big numbers do not mean big trust. Don't rely solely on big accounts or just 1. Follow a lot cultivate friendships with people who've been here. Build those networks so you can hope in a gc and ask 'dafuq is this'. My gals can testify, even I do it all the time. Again, legwork
7. Get out. The world sucks. It does. Throw on some music (stream BE and BTS) and go for a walk, draw, paint, read a book, have some tea. Put the mobile device down and step away for a bit.
Calm down and chill out.
8. Dispatch can rot in a sewer for all the value it has. Outing people who are not ready for the sake of making a quick buck is disgusting and should never be supported by anyone. Anywhere. Period. Exclamation point.
