My wife just returned from a 12 hour shift as a nurse. I'll spare you all the details, but it's bad out there. Do the easy thing, the compassionate thing, the right thing. Wear a damn mask folks.
It's crazy because our daughters are young, but kids are so perceptive & they grasp what's happening (more than some adults). They are worried about their mother & I just tell them "Mommy is helping really sick people to get better & she's a hero." Fuck, this shit is so damn sad.
The politicization of mask-wearing may very well turn out to be the most foolhardy, myopic & counterproductive aspect of this whole clusterfuck, half-hearted, completely inept response from the @realDonaldTrump administration. This guy has been a total nightmare, as we expected.
It's also incredibly frustrating because, this shouldn't be so difficult to grasp. Straight up. Wear a mask, fewer infections, fewer hospitalizations.
