Joe Biden is perpetuating the myth Defund the Police lost the down-ballot congressional races in @theintercept leak. Defund the Police didn't lose Democrats' seats. The majority of the lost seats were all held by white men, and they all lost to women. Women won seats for the GOP.
I went through the swing district races a few weeks ago.
Max Rose lost to Nicole Malliotakis, former state assemblywoman.
Anthony Brindisi lost to Claudia Tenney, former state assemblywoman.
Collin Peterson lost to Michelle Fischbach, former Minnesota Lt. governor.

Harley Rouda lost to Michelle Steel, Former Orange County Supervisor, immigrant from South Korea Joe Cunningham lost to Nancy Mace.
The exceptions are Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, Xochitl Torres Small, Donna Shalala, and Abby Finkenauer.
Xochitl Torres Small lost to Yvette Herrell, a Cherokee American. Donna Shalala lost to Maria Salazar, broadcast television anchor, 72.7% of Florida's 27th district is Hispanic.
Debbie Mucarsel-Powell lost to Former Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Giménez, 69.5% of Florida's 26th district is Hispanic. Abby Finkenauer lost to Ashley Hinson, former Iowa State Representative.
The Republican Party recruited strong candidates in these targeted races. The majority were women, POC, and many had well-established name ID from their time in public office.
