counterinsurgency is about squashing grassroots movements that organize struggle against the system.

the u.s. state & its representatives in government mobilize against freedom struggle & radical rebellion/insurrections.

the job of the counterinsurgent official & the counterinsurgent state is to encircle, entrap, & contain horizon of political possibilities & your political imagination.

a counterinsurgent figure doesn’t have to be “made in a lab” or manufactured by the fbi or cia, they simply got to be elevated & strategically deployed to ramp down popular revolutionary moments/movements.

no one who is a “radical” will ever advocate for you funnel your radical discontent back into supporting a fascist corporatist settler-colonialist fail state. they won’t. this state isn’t democratic; therefore, it is impossible to gain socialism by participating in its elections.

if we are pushing for the dismantlement of the u.s. empire & its projection of global capitalist-imperialism, we are effectively “foreign powers” in a domestic land.

so, anyone who isn’t arguing for an end to u.s. imperialism & its machinations, not merely an end to expensive wars, is a counterinsurgent figure.

anyone who must preface any criticism of amerika’s aggressions/predations on a victim state with a diatribe about the victim state’s “authoritarianism” is a counterinsurgent figure.
