Here is a SciFi thread... Who is familiar with the Ingersoll Lockwood books? Books written in the 1800’s might to eerily predict Donald Trump will be “the last President” of the United States...
Lockwood's first two fictional novels, The Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump and His Wonderful Dog Bulgar and Baron Trump's Marvelous Underground Journey.
Baron Trump, an aristocratically wealthy young man living in Castle Trump, is guided by “The Master of all Masters” called “Don”. Don appears in the book at least 59 times through the character Don Fum, who guides Baron.
The little boy Baron Trump, full of imagination "a very active brain," bored of the luxurious lifestyle he has grown so accustomed to, & seeks adventure.

Before leaving for his voyage, "Trump is told of his family's motto: "The pathway to glory is strewn w/ pitfalls & dangers."
The books are full of journeys to alternate dimensions through portals (time?), the story is also monsters, giants, demons. Baron is on his way to find "Google-land"...

1900 or The last President...

“A work of political satire, it chastises the rise of socialism and populism, inferring their fictional rise here as disastrous and leading to chaos."
The Last President opens in New York City on November 3rd, 1896, w/ the announcement of the newly-elected president of the United States, an outsider, underdog, the anti-establishment candidate. That ran for President who no-one believed he would win.
He lived on 5th Ave in New York (Trump Tower is actually on 5th Ave). There were riots and protests all over the land as a result of his Presidency. Only his name is Bryan...
The candidate who represented the “common man,” who would liberate the people from the grip of the bankers, and “undo the bad business of years of unholy union between barters and sellers of human toil and the law makers of the land.”
The very first page describes New York in uproar the announcement of the newly elected President.

Policemen yelling through the streets:
“Keep within your houses; close your doors and barricade them. The entire East Side is in an uproar.
Mobs of vast size are organizing under the lead of Anarchists and Socialists, and threaten to plunder and despoil the houses of the rich who have wronged them for so many years.” -almost sounds pink🐱 hats, Antifa, & BLM...
As the riots advance upon Madison Square, the book reads,"The Fifth Avenue Hotel will be the first to feel the fury of the mob," (pg.7)
Chapter 1- basically describes a battle btw those who support the president, & those who do not, & ultimately, the “city” is saved from the protesters but not necessarily the republic.
Chapter 2: The next chapter transitions to Chicago. The new President elect is looked at as a savior & even God to many. It appears that the people finally feel that the rich man will fairly pay for his portion of happiness. (p11)
Chapter 3: This chapter takes place after the election, nearing toward the inauguration day. While there are still many that oppose & fight against the president, he has the love of the “Common People."
"who had made him president in the very face of the prodigious opposition of the rich men, whose coffers had been thrown wide open all to no purpose, and in spite too of the Satanic & truly devilish power of that hell upon earth known as Wall Street (p. 14)".
Chapter 4: At the author notes a prophecy "dawnless day." The dawnless day comes as the president announces his cabinet. Many said this would prove he is a “sell-out”, but the president chooses a strong cabinet. His inauguration speech, again, is aimed at the common people.
Chapter 5: There are fifty thousand people on the streets of Washington without bread or shelter, the president reserves rations for these “common people.” (pg 20)

Kinda sounds like our covid situation...
Stimulus... Where is our stand alone bill Nancy...
Chapter 5: This chapter mention a division of Texas of east vs. west. The chapter ends with the “long session” of Congress ending.
Chapter 6: The beginning of this chapter notes somebody wanting to “move the usual adjournment of the holidays” people are very upset. There is much to be done. They say there should be no adjournment until they can “emancipate” the Common People.
Chapter 6: On Washington’s birthday, the president makes an address on how great the country is doing – a lovely speech. At the end of the chapter, the president says that he hopes his epitaph will read, “Here lies the friend of the Common People.”
Chapter 7: Things start to get out of control, and it states, “There began to be ugly rumors that the government.” The Common People started to protest, the government was powerless to stop the decline of the dollar.
Chapter 8 : Rioting broke out everywhere, especially in the north, and socialism and
anarchism “found willing ears.”

The South seems to form great power, and they are extremely upset about taxes put on them, especially because the North is much richer.
Chapter 8 : There are cries of treason and the republic is shaken at its foundations. The North start to prepare for a second rebellion.
Chapter 9: There is a new prophecy that the North, “rich with 100 cites”, would rise against the government. There would have be a revolution within a revolution.
Chapter 9: The North would have to fight or lose its power. (From my understanding, the South seems to be the Common People). They want to separate itself from the union and from its own republic.
Chapter 10: Chapter centers around the final debate btw the North & South.

The Speaker of the House says the president must resign.

The president speaks, and it seems almost godly – he has everybody back under his power for a moment. Everything looks like it's going be fine.
Chapter 10: The speaker of the house would cancel the State of the Union, & then relent allowing it, aftr which the dome to the capital building would be attacked it explodes with dynamite. Somehow *NO ONE IS HURT* a vote to dissolve the Union takes place.
This is a weird coincidence considering recent news...
Essentially if Texas, and other states were to bond together forming a Union of States... Donald J Trump would be The Last President of the United States.
And this is just meant to be a fun SciFi thread... End Thread.
