2/ Two sources say the “gunboat”headlines have not gone down well with the EU side and have “not helped the mood”
3/ Michel Barnier and David Frost have held one meeting today. “Nothing concrete” acc to one source
4/ One source says the UK has pushed further restrictions on foreign ownership of British fishing boats (quota is generally tied to boat ownership)
5/ In general talks said to remain very difficult.

More discussions are likely this evening and tomorrow.
6/ As planned, Boris Johnson and VDL are expected to speak tomorrow.
