DC: Huge parade of Proud Boys passed through Freedom Plaza earlier this afternoon.

DC: Near BLM Plaza, a group of medics in black bloc outside the police barrier were surrounded by Proud Boys. MPDC pepper sprayed the medics, arrested one Proud Boy.

DC: Proud Boys pull up to McPherson Square. MDPC & USPP separated the groups on opposite sidewalks. USPP shields face black bloc. MPDC bikes face the Proud Boys.
DC: The two sides are now solidly blocked off from one another. Cops with both “SWAT” and USPP patches have walked up with what appear to be non lethal guns.

Proud Boys dispersing; police giving them a “Move back”
DC: Black bloc setting up a bike line as USPP prepares to push their line.
Someone on a megaphone said we’re going to march. I’m not sure where because police have every street blocked off.
DC: Medium-sized group of antifascists are marching.
When things get super hot I’ll make note to go to Instagram where I will go live. I do this when there’s too much happening at once. Same username.
Megaphones, unsure if organizers or swoopers, told the group of 300 antifascists that there’s “too many cops following behind” so they’re...Marching in a circle....?

MAGAs at the Capitol Hilton have come out to sing and chant. Mostly “USA” and national anthem, but also a very eerie Silent Night. Interrupted by a single MAGA coming through the crowd.
DC: Proud Boys once again gained access to people at BLM plaza, attacked a few.
After getting stuck on the PB side I looped around and was told by cops at every block I couldn’t pass through. Until I walked midline and asked to get back again and a cop said “if you walk in front of that (police) van and just walk through no one will notice.”
Then I got moved onto a sidewalk. Crossed the street. When police started reconfiguring their layout, I crossed again. Was standing behind a cop line. Cop asks me to move in front of him. So I do. And like that, I’m back in BLM.
Some downtime now. Proud Boys have scouts who have been trying to find a way into BLMP. They are singularly focused on fighting antifa.
It appears there are specific circumstances where the two groups can meet, consistently, but I’m not going to say them out loud.
BLM crowd seems to have shrunk just slightly. Suspect maybe people were split up by police barricades bc the overall group didn’t stay together.
Got word a photographer was pepper sprayed and an ambulance had to be called for them. There’s now an ambulance stationary outside the Capitol Hilton.
It seems the mood now is a combination of settling nerves and a realization that it’s getting cold but if anybody leaves they likely won’t be able to get back in. Would anyone like to order me pizza lol
