/ A few thoughts on Dortmund.
Sacking Favre could happen this month but remember this is Germany. Unusual to bring in a long term replacement mid season unless he’s already available. No tradition of buying out contracts as in England for a Dec/Jan hire. Stopgap more likely.

/ Now, there are high profile people available to walk into the job tomorrow. I’ve seen Rangnick mentioned but not sure an “Alphatier” is the best fit personality wise with Watzke etc. Also is his football Dortmund style football? Not convinced.
/ Jesse Marsch will be one BVB will have looked at as a possible candidate for NEXT season. Don’t see them bringing in a coach with no (head) coaching experience in midstream. Marco Rose possibly another one.
/ The other factor is Dortmund will want a German speaking head coach, so that would rule out Pochettino for now. One possible stopgap/internal solution would be Matthias Sammer, already an advisor to the club, ex coach. Interesting times.
