I mean… not EVERYTHING, obviously. Whiteness has its privileges! But the pattern over time in this steady, ugly crawl towards a reactionary, authoritarian split in our country has been punctuated over and over by shitty propaganda techniques they use first against black women.
As long as respectable white centrists and liberals and progressives ignore that shit when it goes down, and treat it like "drama" or "twitter toxicity" or generic "ugliness" rather than the tip of the spear, it'll keep happening, showing up at their door a couple years later.
(As someone noted, btw, *eight* years, not four — fast angry typing does a number on terms…)
