@DavidLammy on @lbc asks "Should schools be given a day off to save their Christmas"
I like the guy but he doesn't get it,inset day isn't a day off most schools won't do it and it won't save our Christmas, switch to remote learning next week like Eton have might.
@DavidLammy should be highlighting the letters DfE have sent out telling schools to NOT provide work for students who are taken out of school by parents worried about at risk family members over Christmas

Government care more about attendence figures than education
@lbc
@davidlammy should be apologising that @LabourParty got it wrong on schools, he should be calling out Jenny Harris and all the others who claimed transmission wouldn't occur in schools, proven wrong by Hancock announcement this week.
@DavidLammy should be explaining why @Keir_Starmer claimed he was following the science when he called for a circuit break but not including schools when SAGE were clear schools had to be included for lockdown to be effective, now look at the mess we are in.

SAGE⬇️
@DavidLammy, why aren't Labour speaking up for CEV parents whose children are being prevented from choosing to wear masks in classrooms and are threatened with fines if they take their children out even if there has been a large outbreak in the school
In short it would be really appreciated by front line workers and parents particularly in disadvantaged areas if Labour could call out the Governments dishonesty over the summer on schools.
Actually, why has Labour completely ignored the @IndependentSage "Urgent Report for Safer Schools" and members like Professor Stephen Reicher who is regularly on media saying we need to rapidly rethink schools? https://twitter.com/karamballes/status/1333099574945325060?s=19
