Joe Biden seems very “afraid of demographic change” AND moreso upset that this “change” in his mind is “being done by latinos/hispanics.”

Biden uses latinos/hispanics interchangeably, but views whatever he means by these terms as expansive (imo rightly so)

I’m just thinking:

In the leaked audio, Biden goes: “By 2040, this country is going to be minority white European— you hear me? Minority white European. And you guys [Black people] are gonna have to start working more with hispanics! Who make up a LARGER portion of the population than y’all do!”

So Biden’s anger around demo shift is almost always revealed around how he understands Blackness in the US— and Biden is very anti-Black— but Biden seems frustrated / angered that Black people want anything from him, when Hispanics/latinos is the growing and “concerning” demo...

And even with this understanding, his campaign tried to ignore/downplay the non-Cuban Hispanic/Latino vote— so it’s really weird and idk what to make of this for certain yet.

Especially because he worked in an admin that mass deported Latino/Hispanic people, and he’s bringing

back a lot of the same people who helped to facilitate those mass deportations and helped to build cages— so idk if Biden sees deportation as the answer: given that he told Latino activists to vote for Trump when they expressed concern about his record OR if Biden is just

coming to terms with the fact that he’ll have to craft his own way to gaslight his anti-Latino/Hispanic racism (which imo, is something that conservatives and liberals are also more broadly figuring out too).
