Sequel thread on very slightly messed up standards of male aesthetics.

Why Men Look Like what they Look Like. https://twitter.com/PsycheLeopard/status/1335619625623506945
First things first - MEN ARE MORE COSMETIC ORGANISMS by nature.

Who is more beautiful ? Male peacock or female?
Male pigeon or female?
Cock or hen ?

Physiognomically,
Bodily hair of men = wings of male birds

"Human females merely try to compensate for lack of cosmeticness"
#1 Side Cut Hair -

Men keep hair short at sides for two reasons,

1. Spiking above head gives illusion of wearing a crown

A man with crown = a rich man

2. Short hair at top = a balding man
Ancient kings and warriors always had long hairs.

Long hair + crown = protection from handheld weapons during melee + protection from headshots against long range archers

(Anyway, who am I to say?
I am a side cut guy myself 😁)
#2 Suits

Suits do two things -

1. They give V shape look to masculine physique (lean stomach + broad shoulders tapering like letter V)

2. They create mystery.
A man in suit might be concealing anything underneath - like a gun !
#3 Goggles -

1. A man wearing goggles = a man rough enough to work in sunlight

2. Hidden eye expressions = mystery

Mystery indeed is a huge asset of male sexuality
But above everything else,

Goggles hide drunkard's or cocaine junkies eyes.

Same goes for #4 Beard .

Men are supposed to have solid, prominent chins.
Most modern men have undeveloped chins.
Beard hides it.
#5 Tattoos

Sure, women too apply tattoos nowadays.

But they don't cover their whole bodies like men

Huge tattoos in men = huge scars = a man who has fought a lot, a brave warrior
In some tribes, tattooing is rite of passage.

Young boys are given tattoos by making thousands of painful cuts on skin and filling them with herbal dyes.

Once this ceremony is completed, the 'boy' is now called a 'man'.
#6 Black leather Jacket

Leather jackets are uncomfortable as compared to coat. And they are expensive.

But they exist, mostly due to biker clubs and street fighters.

The thickness gives partial protection against stab attempts.
Black colour gives camouflage at night
#7 Allergy to Pink -

Male repulsion to pink is not irrational. It's not merely a consequence of association of pink to cute flowers and vagina..

1. Animals who have lost their fur in fights/due to sickness look pink

2. Baby animals are pink

Babies are grossly anti masculine
#8 Kurtas

Kurtas were supposed to be for females initially. 'Kurtis' hid menstrual blood and took dirt of kitchen and household.

Males soon figured out that Kurtas -

1. Provide ventilation
2. And more importantly, they hide erections

So we started wearing it too.
#9 Obsession to Folded sleeves

Any man can instantly become 100x sexier by folding his sleeves. No exaggeration.

A man with folded sleeves is a universal symbol of a leader - a man in action.
#10 Tie

2 centuries ago, buttons were symbol of economic well being.

Kings were using everything- coins, pearls, gold, silver as buttons.

Then, a few kings figured out that if they made their men wear a cloth in front of chest just broad enough to hide buttons...
