On 1 hand, I’d selfishly like to see NDSU stay FCS because it’s good for biz. They’re one of the few fan bases that reads content about other teams and conferences. On the other hand, the playoffs would be more fun to cover w/o NDSU & w/ a wide-open race to the title. A 24-team playoff is cool, but when it’s NDSU vs. 1, maybe 2 legit challengers, the other 20 teams are just there to fill the bracket (sorry but that’s reality rn in the FCS)
IMO, if NDSU had a FB-only invite to the FBS, it would’ve taken it by now. But money, lack of conf. invite, money, location, money and money has prevented that move from happening.

Until there is a G5 playoff or a new “2nd level” of D1 football between G5/FCS, NDSU stays FCS
