Its time for a long thread on Qutub minar(Vishnu Stambh).

Our team had worshipped in qutub minar 2 years ago.

Last year I had a visit in qutub again to collect some more evidence.

I will elaborate some new facts in thread.

First myth - mosque is built using the materials of temple.

No, thats not true in my opinion. Entire temple is carved in single yellow stone while the tower is carved in red sandstone.

How one can use whole temple to create a mosque?

Will it be considered as mosque or temple?

False Myth 2 - muslim invaders modified the temple into mosque.

Note pic 1 - knoen as smith folly, it was installed by major smith of british army.

Myth 2 contd :

As we know qutub minar was renovated by britishers under the leadership of robert smith who completed it in 1828.

He replaced the top floor with a cupola which later called disaster of smits.

Smith removed it and installed it behind the alai darwaza.
