More bad news from India's NFHS-5 summary reports: Anaemia among children and adults (particularly women) improved little or even worsened in most states in the last 5 years.
Andhra Pradesh: Anaemia among children and pregnant women increased.
Assam: steep increases in anaemia in all populations.
Bihar: except for men (15-49 years), anaemia increased among children and women.
Goa:
Gujarat: anaemia increases among all populations reported here:
Himachal Pradesh: slight increase in anaemia among children.
Karnataka. Increase in anaemia in each group
Even Kerala shows increase in anaemia among children and pregnant women
Maharashtra: except for pregnant women (thankfully), anaemia levels increased in children and adults
Manipur: improvements only among men. For children, pregnant and non-pregnant women, anaemia increased
Meghalaya seems to be doing better than most states
Mizoram: anaemia increased in all reported populations. Very steep increase in anaemia among children
Nagaland: a large increase in anaemia among children
Sikkim: except for women (ages 15-19), increase in anaemia among all groups
Telangana: increase anaemia across groups
Tripura: an overall increase in anaemia
West Bengal not doing any better either
