This is for mf’s who claim to be broke! Bruh. Legit take a couple hours and write down every expense you’ve had over the last 60 days. Use your bank statements and any other source of funding you use to help. That’s credit cards, PayPal, ApplePay, all that shit.
Then then watch how much bread you spend on shit you don’t actually need to live or work. Then look at the shit you do need and ask yourself, “do i need this premium of a version?”
Nigga you DONT need a 1200 phone that you’re FINANCING, you don’t need that PS5 you bought on credit, you don’t need to eat at fast food spots or eat out, you don’t need these streaming services. Yeah you might need a whip but it ain’t gotta be no 2020 that you can’t afford.
Like your fucking consumerism is getting in the way of you getting out of that hole you’re in. And that hole in and of itself is expensive to be in.
Be real, you gon say, “these only a couple dollars”. How often have you gone over your account balance by “a couple dollars” then got hit with that $35 NSF fee? Oh. Aight. How many times you had to wait til payday to pay a bill and then got charged EXTRA for being late?
I’m a talk real aggressively about this shit cuz i was where you are like 15 months ago. I was dead fucking broke. You can ask @logical_el how i was in his dm’s tryna figure out how tf he was getting money and ain’t care what it was. I just needed to know cuz i had nothing left!
Nigga i was hitting all these mf’s that talk about gettin money on here hoping somebody would help me find a way to get it. But more important than increasing my income was decreasing my expenses.
I couldn’t sit here and be mad about being broke when i knew i was spending $150 a month on eating out when honestly my grocery bill was enough to have cookable food at the damn house. So i cut eating out FOR A TIME.
I also got obsessive about finding a lane that fit me that i could make bread in. I stopped listening to music and started listening to @mmindsetspod and @EarnYourLeisure. And honestly, didn’t end up in none of the lanes i heard talked about heavy on there.
I was just tuning my antenna to becoming a creator not a fucking consumer.

I ain’t even started talking about increasing your income, because guess what. Most of y’all so used to living beyond your fucking means that when your income increase you gon add more shit and still be the same kinda broke. Consumerism is an addiction we don’t know we even have.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t enjoy things while you broke. I been there. The escape can be necessary. But when you gon stop practicing that escapism and actually confront and address the fucking issue.
