1st meeting February 1962 resulted in a 1.0 win for the Grecians with Brian Jenkins scoring the winner, October 1963 came our biggest defeat when Phoenix,Mitchel,Cutis,Rees, Henderson all scored in a 5.0 romp for the Grecians

Our first win in Devon came in October, when Yardley,Hudson,Williams and an own goal gave us a 4.1 victory our biggest win there,
We also won on our next visit when Moore and Allen scored in a 2.0 Friday night win

That was one of 3 meetings in the 70’s with Exeter recording 4.2 (77-78)and 3.0 (78/79)victories
But Rovers did win on their 1st visit of the 80’s with big John Williams scoring in 1.0 win in May 85, Rovers recorded big wins in 87/88 (helped qualify for Wembley)

The 1989 promotion push took a big boost when youngster Tony Thomas followed up his first goal for the club at Darlington with his 2nd in only his 3rd start as Rovers recorded a vital 1.0 win

The only meeting in the 90’s came in Oct 90 a 0.0 draw,by the time we next visited Devon was in Sept 09, we’d had 10 years in the 2nd tier before returning to the 3rd tier in 01 Exeter had a 5 year exile in the conference before returning to the FL in 2007,now both were in L1
Our next visit was a rearranged game in March 2011, after being postponed in December due to a frozen pitch

January 2015, Tranmere outside the relegation places on goal difference, but having recording a home win over Accrington and a home draw against Hartlepool, Rovers we’re hoping for another moral boost under Micky Adams
