I know for some of you the isolation & missing family this #Christmas will be hard. We truly understand how hard it can be to #ChooseHappiness, but I'd like to share a glimpse of our world with you so you can see why it's so important. And you can understand why I will do my

very best to create #ChristmasMagic & share it with you.
We know isolation & loneliness well. Because most of our friends and family don't live in places that a wheelchair can get into, let alone has an accessible bathroom, we don't get to spend much time with them. Not just

during a pandemic, but all the time. We now have #Covid restrictions here in #Alberta that limit us to having 2 people that can come be a social support to us. Otherwise it's just me, my Mistress who's a middle aged woman with no legs, & retired Service dog Roxy. It could

be very lonely if we let.
I'm pretty sure there's days when my Mistress would rather just stay in bed & resent the fact that so much of the world is out of her reach. In fact, it would be really easy for her to only drag herself to her wheelchair to go to the bathroom & then

go hide under the covers & fall prey to self pity. But wouldn't that be a horribly sad, meaningless life?Choosing misery is easy. To #ChooseHappiness is hard work & takes commitment. But for us it's vital. That's why every morning we get up & instead of just going for a quick

pottywalk, we stop & take pictures of me in a tie & give the #weatherdog report. It's choosing to be happy instead of letting pain & adversity bring misery. It's why we somehow managed to get the Christmas tree up. Twice. That itself was a huge victory & something we weren't

sure a person in a wheelchair with only 1 good hand and a couple of dogs could do. But we did! And we could share it with you. Instead of spending an evening alone, in pain & depressed, she had me pose through the building of a gingerbread village to create some holiday

magic. Instead of spending a night bitter about more restrictions making it even harder to do things in a world filled with barriers we chose to create some magical holiday photos with lights & ribbon and wooden boxes. These activities bring us a lot of happiness & even

better, some of you find happiness when we share them with you. Because happiness is infectious. When someone works hard at creating it & shares it with others, it grows exponentially.
So it's very important we #ChooseHappiness this #Christmas & come up with ways to create

#ChristmasMagic. It's very important we share that with others. It keeps her from going to a dark place, and maybe helps others to stay out of it as well.
Covid & the restrictions can't ruin #Christmas , being apart from family can't ruin it. Choosing misery & anger can.

It's very important to me that my Mistress gets up & lives life to the fullest instead of giving up & simply existing. I can't let her take the easy route & choose misery. So I do everything I can to help her find & #ChooseHappiness & I will do my dog darned best to help
