I wanted to give Project Lincoln the benefit of the doubt, even as it became quite clear that their long game is purely self-serving.

I even tried to a NOT hold it against Steve Schmidt.

But this? While the Dems are down (not out), he tries to lure AOC to their side? 3/4

It's so blatant and embarrassing. And puerile and gross.

I'd say, "Shame on Steve Schmidt." But lifetime politicians like him have little shame left.

If Project Lincoln and Steve Schmidt see the value of partnering with AOC and other progressives, Dem leadership better sit the fuck up and pay attention.

Republicans are brilliant, forward-thinking, opportunistic machines. Whether they're Never Trumpers or Trump sycophants...

... they have proven to be exceptional propagandists whose insatiable lust for power is quite possibly unmatched.

This is historically proven.

So, when "the sane" Republicans start pandering to a group of Dems who are 1000% against everything Republicans stand for...

... we have to assume that's not an accident. It's not random. It's certainly not purely altruistic.

So, yeah, tonight's Love Letters to AOC reveal Steve Schmidt and Project Lincoln's long-term gameplay.

And I have no doubt that she sees right through it.
