To the hundreds of Q

Patriots

that followed us this week: We have an important thread for you! Read below:

You have been lied to. The people you think have your back are using you for money and power. All of the news outlets, big name Twitter accounts, and even politicians have taken advantage of your good heart to enrich themselves.
We'll probably be the only dissenting viewpoint on your feed today, but hear us out. Q started in 2017 the same way many elaborate online pranks do, on an image board. There have been many pranks started this way, but 4chan & 8chan have never been reliable sources for anything.
The media cycle in 2020 is an absolute nightmare. Clicks mean money for every news outlet, including your favorite one. This doesn't mean that no one is telling the truth, it just means that there is a significant amount of things to wade through in order to understand a story.
The people behind Q have taken advantage of this, and a toxic symbiosis was created between the alt media, q, and the politicians who benefit from the reach. People make non-trivial amounts of money off of warping your good-hearted concern for your country.
They know that you are smart and want to find out the real story behind the headlines, so they carefully craft vague information that you can apply to whatever you think makes sense. It's a similar technique that magicians and psychics use called "cold reading".
By giving you small crumbs of information to "decode", they feed into the addiction center of your brain, the way that a lot of video games do. This also helps to solidify any beliefs you might have about something, because you confirmed it on your own via research.
We shared a fake thing that thousands of people interacted in a short period of time. We made it very apparent that it was fake, because interacting meant you saw a very shocking image. This happens all the time, but with things that are more subtle about how fake they are.
Think about how long it took for people to get others to realize it wasn't real, and how many people argued about it in the replies. This type of thing has and continues to be weaponized against you, except in a much more dangerous way.
The people who benefit from Q lay elaborate (and sometimes extremely flimsy) traps for you to find through your own research, which lead you to predetermined conclusions. They do the same thing we did, except they are doing it to gain influence and make money off of you.
Don't throw your life away for people who don't care about you. You are worth more than that. You've spent a lot of time fighting the good fight online to seek the truth, just know that even if you come to the conclusion that you've been duped, it was still worth it.
