The male-centric mythos of hunter-gatherer early humans should be dispelled.

The reality is we were once largely gatherer-hunters, who ate a lot less meat than we do now.

Women as well as children played a central role in gathering food.

What meat humans ate may have been gathered from scavenging more than hunting, too.

Which makes sense as long ranged weapons weren't readily available, and that's what makes hunting much easier for those who are hunting.

Meanwhile a balanced vegan lifestyle (including a 100% plant-based diet) is thought to be among the most healthy, if not #1.

Eating like cave people that never existed is a dangerous and silly fad.
