And after all the build-up, you finally meet the real Sephiroth... And what does he do? He screws with Cloud’s head, summons a giant meteor and dooms the planet to oblivion.

And STILL, you feel like you haven’t grasped his strength that stories fail to deliver on. (2/?)
All the way till the final boss when he’s literally threatening to rip your party apart with his mind. He’s terrifying in a way not many other Final Fantasy villains can encapsulate tbh. And he’s not even some giant scary monster with gnarly teeth. (3/4)
Now that we know what he’s about though, when he pops up in crossovers or whatever? If you understand him, you understand why peoples’ response is usually, “oh shit it’s HIM.”
