okay i’m gonna try to keep this short and brief but let’s talk about racism/stereotypes against indians:
before i start, i’m basing this off of my experiences and many of us may not have the same experiences so if you have more feel free to add !! i just want to spread this because it’s just so normalized now people don’t even notice how harmful they’re being
also this thread is meant to educate, not yell at you guys or anything because i want you guys to understand what’s harmful and what’s not because not all of us are the same so stop believing that 
first, stereotypes. please please please stop believing we are all smart/good at technology like some of us might be but coming up to us to ask if we are apart of tech support and all that is not the move you think it is :/ also we are all not good at math
second, stop making fun of our food??? like i remember bringing indian food to school and people would always call it stinky and gross-looking and it always made me so insecure that i ended up telling my parents to stop making it and giving me other foods.
stop assuming we eat curry and spicy foods all fucking day. it’s really annoying to hear people say stuff about our food and culture and can be really offensive. also stop making fun of us because we eat food with our hands it’s rude. me as an indian i’ve actually never had curry

please stop calling us baljeet/ravi omg do not do that. it’s kind of just annoying tbh bc if i open an indian man’s tiktok section all i see is stuff about the comments calling him baljeet??! like no don’t do that
STOP MAKING FUN OF OUR ACCENTS. it’s so disrespectful to make fun of someone’s accent like just bc it’s not “appealing” to you doesn’t give you the right to make fun of it?? it’s also really annoying seeing you guys try to mock us by it,,, just stop.
please stop appropriating our culture. our culture is not a fucking aesthetic to you. stop making it seem “trendy” because it’s our culture.
stop ignoring our issues please. also stop thinking india isn’t in asia because it definitely is?? stop ignoring southern asian countries because last time i checked, korea, china, and japan aren’t the only countries in asia. stop ignoring us thinking our issues aren’t important
please stop assuming we are all muslim. there are other religions in south asia as a whole and not all of us are muslims. and also don’t assume we hate muslims ??? literally no indian i know hates muslims ?? just don’t assume
