It’s really, really (really) important for your sanity and time to discuss your data collection with someone who understands *data analysis* BEFORE you spend all your time collecting data.

If you spend hundreds of hours collecting data, and *then* go to someone for help with analysis, this is how they will look.
E.g. a data sheet that someone had diligently calculated the age for 900 patients (in their head) based on the DOB.... and filled in age like: 34y

Cleaning data is no fun, and it would be much better to collect data in the way it will be analysed.
You should collect data with the tables, figures and analysis already planned or anticipated, and spend the extra time you save doing something else!

It’s worth the extra time getting advice, since it may save you precious hours of your life. Don’t learn this the hard way!
