A large proportion of girls seeking to transition are on the autistic spectrum.

We feel it is no coincidence that this increasingly gendered society is seeing so many girls attempting to opt out of their sex. @Autism @scottishautism
We are surprised that many in supportive roles/organisations are happy to encourage these girls to transition without considering the largely transient nature of gender incongruence ( https://www.transgendertrend.com/children-change-minds/ ) or the life changing consequences that result from such a choice.
In light of Keira Bell’s recent case ( https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/amp/uk-england-cambridgeshire-55144148 ) we invite autistic organisations such as the NAS to take a balanced look at why autistic girls are so vulnerable to this ideology. @Autism @scottishautism
We suggest involving older autistic women who experienced similar distressing years without being pushed into life changing medication and surgery. @Autism @scottishautism
We believe this would contribute to a more measured approach that means these conversations can take place without risk to those of us who disagree with the current gender beliefs. @Autism @scottishautism
