1) Thoughts on one of @Nick_Mosby's committee appointments: Councilman @Zeke_Cohen, now former chair of Baltimore’s Youth and Education Committee, has been a relentless advocate for students.
2)He has been a teacher at Curtis Bay and (the former) George Kelson, strengthened the power of students’ voices through creating the non-profit The Intersection and consistently and meaningfully partners with youth to drive solutions to our city’s problems as a councilman.
3) He continues to lead Healing City Baltimore, a project where a coalition he built works tirelessly to address the profound loss, pain, and trauma our students experience daily due to violence that is deeply tied to the legacy of systemic racism in our city and country.
4)When our students’ education was on the line, @Zeke_Cohen assembled and continues to maintain a hard working coalition, where he deliberately put youth in the driver’s seat in the fight for the 21st century education Baltimore's children deserve.
5) In what appears to be a monumental act of petty politics, Baltimore is being denied the leadership of a champion and expert in education to steer our Education, Workforce, and Youth Committee. Where were our City’s kids, their lives, and their futures in making this decision?
