"The Anatomy of a Series A Raise" from @Docsend has great pearls of wisdom for Seed founders prepping for their Series A, whether going out in the near term or planning for the future, based on feedback from 435 companies 1/ https://try.docsend.com/series-a-fundraising-report-webinar #uncorkcap
The biggest difference from the Seed round in a pitch for raising the Series A is ... TRACTION. While successful Seed focus decks talk about customers, revenue, & pipeline, successful Series A decks also focus on RETENTION, REPEAT USERS, and REVIEWS. /2
Why? While successfully raising a seed is *generally* about showing signs of early product-market fit, raising a Series A is *generally* about demonstrating that your early success is repeatable. /3
. @Docsend also shared that VCs spent even less time (!!!) looking at Series A deck s(3.11 minutes) than seed decks - and the slides that VCs spent the most time on are #1 Product, #2 Biz Model, and #3 Solution. /4
Another good piece of advice... have ALL your materials, not just your pitch deck, ready before going out to raise your Series A. /5
