i don’t know who needs to hear this but if you’re having frequent nightmares that involve the feelings you felt during the trauma, even if the events in the dream aren’t direct memories or even accurate to what happened, those are still PTSD nightmares.
also, if you don’t remember your dreams but get extremely anxious before bed and procrastinate going to sleep, you could also be having trauma nightmares.

as trauma survivors, we tend to invalidate our own experiences out of guilt to the point where we can’t even recognize the symptoms of PTSD. it’s not like in the movies. sometimes it’s just constant anxiety, feeling unsafe, avoidance behaviors, and remembering unpleasant things.
