if you go from testing 0.5 per 1000 to testing 4 per 1000, it's an 8X increase in potential for false positive.
add in the non clinical positives form trace and recovered virus and the functional false positive count could be 10-20X what it was in april.

when you have a bigger base of "recovered" and more endemic trace virus around, the opportunity for highly oversensitive PCR testing to find non-clinical trace virus goes WAY up, especially if you are testing the asymptomatic.
add a 30 day tail to that false positive, and some people are going to die, especially if you are testing obsessively in nursing homes, care facilities, and hospitals.

we've used PCR testing to stitch together an all time world class bad map and are now relying obsessively on this map as though it were hard, clinical science to drive policy decisions affecting the lives and livelihoods of most of the world.
