'What just happened'?!?!
We have an agreement in principle on implementing the Protocol - we've been waiting months for these matters to be decided on.
They are not quite yet decisions. And we don't yet have the details... But it is a breakthrough for sure.

Movement of goods from NI into GB:

Crossing the Irish Sea, GB to NI:
Will need customs formalities plus checks & controls in some instances
BUT UK Trader Scheme a huge piece of news for NI-destined goods through authorised traders.
+ #Adaptation periods have been secured for certain regulated goods.

There were alot of other issues that had to be addressed too, including on big, complex, sensitive issues.

So. Is NI sorted now?
No, far from it, don't be silly.
But this is an essential & long-needed leap forward.
Alot depends on what it will look like in practice.
& that in turn depends on those decisions being forthcoming next week.
And tonnes depends on a UK-EU #Deal.
