Top 10 Best Things to Happen in 2020: A Playlist

No real order here, but to close out 2020, which has been one rough year, I want to focus on 10 great things.

Perspective is important. Twitter makes it easy to focus on the negative, because the negative is usually funnier.
The perfect risotto. I made that. I've learned I'm actually a pretty good cook, assuming for years I was terrible, just because I wasn't motivated.

Putting a focus on creating the meals I consume has been HUGE for my mental health.

Not burning those meals is a bonus, too.
New Orleans. Got in one trip this year, before everything shut down, and it was a fantastic time with fantastic Twitter friends @GilDiazCharged @IanMBroderick @tamingtheriver! I think about it often, especially now that it's cold, dark & rainy, and I really miss travelling again.
Got published. In print. Huge dream come true. https://twitter.com/PWolfecastle/status/1281997999883849731?s=19
Will soon be published, in print, again, because I won @media_gestalt's February short story contest.

This was also the first bit of money I earned from writing, and I've been able to call myself a working writer ever since. https://twitter.com/media_gestalt/status/1234198133967597569?s=19
Finally went ocean kayaking in Vancouver with a great, supportive friend @AMacOnAir before the weather turned!
Lost a job I absolutely hated, picked up three (yes, three) that I love. Grateful to friends like @catapult_x for that, and also proud of myself for picking myself up, and landing on my feet, in a shitty fuckin year.
I've grown closer to my mom and my sisters. Our family group chats drain the battery in my phone pretty much daily.
Stood up for myself even when I was afraid to. Even when I wanted to please people, because I owed it to myself. Leaned on my people, like @colourmesad @jaylynnwatkins1 @PWolfecastle @DesideriaMesa @AshleyEditorial and more I'm definitely forgetting. Will accept ass kicks. ❤️
Broke my foggy, unrelenting writer's block with a really ambitious WIP that I'm so excited about it makes me gleeful!!
Ostensibly met (just not in person, yet) my sisters from other maams and misters, the two people who, this year, have been my greatest supporters, sounding boards, friends, and legit family, @EmAsInMoney and @sashro77.
