I got some advice (from a man) to ask for obscene amounts of money when I'm on the fence deciding if an event/opportunity/etc is worth my time and effort, and WOW it has changed the game.
It's terrifying to do it (my heart drops whenever I send those emails), but it has led to both it being easier to say no to things, AND more cash when saying yes to things.
It's shocking to me sometimes when folks say yes when I ask for so much!
Normally, I admit, I feel bad asking for money at all when folks ask me to do things/speak at events/work on a project/etc, but... it really helps to think, "a guy would ask for more."
