It is *blowing my mind* that so many young healthy folks in their 20s & 30s are so enthusiastic about getting the vaccine. You are participating in an extended clinical trial for a brand new vaccine that uses a novel physiological mechanism for a virus that isn’t that dangerous

I guess this is what happens when a social-media generation grows up thinking “I fucking love science” is what science actually is. Not thinking at all about facts presented to you by authority figures so you can say “neat” and pretend you grasp the scientific method.

And again, just to be clear—I’m not an anti-vax guy generally. I’m really passionate about science. I’ve taught research methods at the college level & have been first or contributing author on several scientific articles. What’s happening is antithetical to the ethos of science
