Bernie, Warren, Porter, AOC, etc; for all their faults they have actual, programmatic political goals. They have shit they want to accomplish.

What that ultimately means for Biden's political vision (such as it is) is that he sees his main draw as the idea (true or not) that everybody likes him, and so he we see him get irritated and angry at people trying to extract political concessions from him.
Anything that punctures his notion that everybody can just get along over dinner, any actual *politics* that underscores a contest with real stakes, is something he treats with anger and contempt.

The flip side of this is that new "insiders" are cultivated by whomever flatters and imitates the current leadership's vision of themselves as well-liked, so Buttigieg is favored because in many ways he succeeds in flattering them through imitation and overt paeans.
It's an organization that *performs* politics because that's the custom and that's the business they've been in for a while now, but they genuinely don't care.

...about policy or her constituents, but she *does* care about being seen as inter-personally generous, as someone whose house her friends and their kids want to come over to.
Anyway, I've already spent way too much energy on this rant but the point here is this; this is not an org worth your energy or money to materially support.
The Dem Party should be treated as an org that has to be bullied and berated into doing anything good or useful.
