It's wild that folks are facing evictions, worried about displacement around the corner- yet others w/ none of those concerns are privileged enough to go on Zoom & shoot down 100% affordable housing in opportunity 'hoods because of height or parking space. Truly risible behavior.
I really don't care what you think is out of scale with the neighborhood. I don't care about your aesthetic preferences. You misunderstand equity if you can't get that the ability of poor folks and people of color to have decent shelter next to transit, good jobs & schools is
worth you being uncomfortable. If you're sitting in a house you own, or you never worry about rent payments- but you find the time to oppose affordable housing you are not a good person. And I mean that. People are having their lives ruined and you want sympathy for your design
choices? For having to circle the block one more time. Yeah, point to your BLM sign and feel smug about your choices. History will not judge you well.
