They DO keep people from getting sick and dying when they are infected

Primary endpoint that determined vaccine efficacy was prevention of *symptomatic disease* NOT infection

We don't know yet if approved vaccines prevent #SARSCoV2 infection.

The vaccines DO effectively prevent #COVID19 disease

Sp we do not know *YET* if we will get #herdimmunity from the vaccines

We just don't know if the vaccine will slow the #pandemic (if the vaccinated stay well but spread the virus)

But we do know the vaccine WILL save lives

We can add the vaccine to the other powerful tools that save lives: #MaskUp and #SocialDistancing
