2/4 - The deal takes 🇬🇧 a step closer towards accession to the #CPTPP. Meeting @VNGovtPortal 🇻🇳PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, Secretary of State @trussliz thanked Vietnam, a CPTPP founding member, for the public support shown for UK’s accession to the group.
3/4 -🇬🇧 businesses in 🇻🇳 joined Secretary @trussliz, HMA @GarethWardUK & HMCG @EmilyHamblinUK to mark this milestone. By the time of 🇬🇧🇻🇳 FTA's full implementation, 99% of tariffs will have been removed. This is a deal that provides certainty for UK businesses trading w/ Vietnam.
4/4 - Secretary of State @trussliz also visited 🇻🇳 National Assembly, sharing w/ Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee Vũ Hồng Thanh 🇬🇧's commitment to work w/ countries in the 🌎, including 🇻🇳, to set more ambitious #climate targets & push the transition to #renewables.
