As You Like It (1936) British film (William Shakespeare play)

All the people enter into this world through different routes, and exit on an different route. They enter into this stage when they are born, and leave it when they die. During this entire life span, every person
plays different parts or roles, and these parts are known as seven stages, which are like different acts of a drama or play.
Thus, in the Persian Mysteries of Mithras, there was a ladder of seven rounds, the passage through them being symbolical of the soul's approach to perfection. These rounds were called gates, and, in allusion to them, the candidate was made to pass through seven dark and winding
caverns, which process was called the ascent of the ladder of perfection Each of these caverns was the representative of a world, or w state of existence through which the soul was supposed to pass in its progress from the first world to the last, or the world of truth.
Each round of the ladder was said to be of metal of measuring purity, and was dignified also with the name of its protecting planet. Some idea of the construction of this symbolic ladder may be obtained from the accompanying table.

The Principle of Polarity

“Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pairs of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled”
THE KYBALION
-
The Principle of Polarity embodies the truth that all manifested things have '2 Sides'; '2 Aspects'; '2 Poles'; a 'Pair of Opposites', with manifold degrees between the 2 extremes. Old paradoxes, which have ever perplexed the mind of men, are explained by an
understanding of this Principle. Man has always recognized something akin to this Principle, and has endeavor end to express it by various sayings, maxims, and aphorisms: 'Everything is and isn't at the same time'; 'All truths are but half-truths'; 'Every truth is half-false'; '
There are 2 sides to Everything', etc.
