im not saying obi wan and vader will absolutely 100% clash sabers, i'm just saying, canon isn't as open and shut as we might think. be prepared for anything to happen, cause anything CAN happen.
for all those who're gonna tell me i'm wrong, watch ROTS again. if they'd remembered this line while making it they would have made anakin sensing obi wan into a big moment, would have helped build up the tension before the duel. but they didn't.

so this line is mostly likely referring to something else. some other time vader was in the presence of obi wan. i dont know if this means they were in a fight or if maybe they just happened to cross paths, but clearly, there more story to tell.
adding to this, remember that obi wan has no reason to believe anakin survived after where obi wan left him. yet he hardly reacts with surpise when he sees anakin again, this time "more machine than man".

so if we accept that obi wan was in touch with the rebels (via bail organa) then we must also accept that bail had a jedi at his call during the difficult early years of the rebellion. now of course, that doesn't mean obi wan left tatooine every time bail needed an extra hand...
but there's more than enough evidence here that points to a potential story. just cause obi wan ended ROTS on tatooine and started ANH on tatooine that doesn't mean he did literally nothing for 19 years.
