tl/dr? Hire people of color to work in publishing. A more diverse pub house makes for more diverse books.

We already knew that. But I’m glad the NYT is blasting the message far & wide.
Shouts to people doing the work on the ground. Editors of color acquiring work by POCs. White editors using their privilege to advocate for black and brown writers. Publicists and marketers fighting with upper management for more evenly spread resources & championing POC authors.
