a better way to phrase things would be highlighting a certain part of their choreo rather than changing it (i just woke up). when bts first had their cb, most of their am i wrong perfs were cut for the sake of time- removing nj's verse in the 2nd half. https://twitter.com/thejoonmoon/status/1337414667287863296
or, if they performed it for the full length- the camera would focus on nj rather than the choreo. however, when bts performed am i wrong on 161029- they did the whole song and specifically highlighted the choreo during nj's verse (as shown in the video below)
again- this is not a coincidence. "if u see the news n don’t feel anything, if u see that comment n don’t feel anything"- what was on the news during that time was the revelation of park geunhye n choi soonsil's relationship. this was when koreans were protesting the presidency.
though this song was written before the scandal had come out, the lyrics fit the situation perfectly. if you do not care about the news and what is being said about the corruption in the govt that has been revealed- you are not normal. take a look at the choreo in this verse too.
jm is giving money to th but yg doesn't care bc he's too distracted on his phone. this is a direct reflection of the corruption that was revealed. choi soonsil, pgh's unofficial assistant (so to say) was forcing chaebols to donate millions to the foundations under her control.
this was revealed on the news days prior and park geunhye had admitted to her relationship with choi. namjoon's verse is saying that if you didn't care about this, you were not normal.
am i wrong also talked about other issues as well! for ex yg's verse, "of course we're all dogs n pigs. we get angry n become dogs, of course" was a reference to an official of the education ministry who had said that 99% of his country’s ppl should be treated “like dogs n pigs"
peep the dance at this part too- bts are literally moving like theyre animals. the "storks VS baepsae it's a war ERRDAY" line also sums up this situation perfectly- the crowtits, those born without privileges, must fight against the storks, the upper class, everyday to survive
to end, keep in mind that bts performed this intensely political song in a time when the president was revealed to be blacklisting artists. that, on top of this, bts had met w n donated to the families of the sewol ferry victims- the event that largely led to pgh's impeachment. https://twitter.com/modooborahae/status/1337400913103888389
