@TSNJR @TSN1200 @TSNSimmer A quick story about @DevonLevi33 from last year. We had a team from Nunavut come to town to play an exb. that was in Ottawa for the Bell Capital Cup. I was MCing the game and brought 3 players from the Canadians to meet the kids in the dressing room.
As I introduced the players, Levi being one, I was talking about where they were from and their stats. When I got to Devon he covered his ears and essentially ran out of the dressing room. All the adults looked around wondering what was up. After I finished he came back in....
And apologized and let me know that he didn’t want to hear his stats!! This kid had the best GAA and SV% in the @cjhlhockey by a country mile, and had never looked at his stats the whole season. Didn’t want to know them, and it didn’t matter what they were.....
He was so focused on becoming better he didn’t need to know where he ranked in his own league let alone the whole country. Quirky or focused? Likely a bit of both, but the kid was dialled in so hard, I have no doubt he will contribute big time for @HC_WJC End.
