Thread on W trouble Day 1 feels with some flail. May contain spoilers, mute if that isn't your thing.
1a. This 1st con day reaffimed my love for WEST in many ways. More than their talents (which they have a lot of), I have always appreciated how they don't hesitate to just continue singing or adlibbing even when they've forgotten a line or two. It makes them more human.
1b. On that vein, it gives less room for people to doubt whether or not they're singing live. They still have backing tracks, but their raw voices shine through. It's not perfect and may even be too pitchy at times, but it's THEM.
2a. MatsuJun wasn't kidding when he said Ryusei was really serious about learning the ropes of concert production from him. They really elevated the production compared to previous concerts in spite of (or maybe even thanks to) it being streamed online.
2b. There's the pre-concert video, Special Love, and a live band accompaniment (WEST's first ever) among others. It really was something else!
3a. Shige's energy!!! Ryusei's OMG wow vocals despite forgetting lyrics!!! Junta's vibe in all the mature songs because it's his fave genre!!! Hamachan doing his darnest despite in-ear monitor problems!!! Kamichan and his sheer talent for everything!!!
3b. Akito pushing his voice to the limits!!! Nozomu being cool and doing his darnest with the high notes!!! There's something to love about each one of them in the concert, and it's something best seen rather than just described.
4. You just know the group works together with the band when the latter is able to follow through from the former's antics. That was a really pleasant surprise!
5. JWEST's appreciation for the Kansai Jrs. is really something to be admired. Despite this being a shorter concert, the Jrs. still got to have their usual corner and sing two songs.
6. The uchiwa from the fans really comforted JWEST, I think. I was soft seeing them holding the uchiwa and doing fan service. I think Shige was really emotional seeing some of the uchiwa, but also kudos to the staff for putting so much nira-related uchiwa next to each other. 
7. Ending the concert with "to you" (before the encore) was something I wasn't expecting!!! And seeing Shige so emotional...
8. Even if W trouble leans more on the "cool" side conceptually, JWEST will always find ways to insert their funny/wacky selves. A JWEST concert really isn't complete without at least one of them goofing off.
9. I really, really enjoyed this first day very much. I am looking forward to the rest of the concerts!!! If you can, please consider watching even just one show. I'm sure it will be worth your time and money.
