So this is something I saw recently and I'm saying this out of my own experience:
There's a lot of people upset their art is being used for private roleplays etc. - And that is valid, and understandable! You put a lot of work into these characters, not just [THREAD]

Physical work and time, but also emotions. They're part of you. Family. There's also, of course, that these things are potential profits lost due to art you already made being used instead of bought adopts or commissions. However -
I've been there. I was 12, 13 - Hell, 16. And my art skills weren't there. And I definitely didn't have the money to pay anyone. I used art I found on pinterest or google, because I wanted my characters to be cool, for others to think they're cool!
This is all to say: I understand. I understand both sides. All you roleplayers out there - I get you. To all the artists: I get you, too. I've been on both sides of this, so I'll say this: If you're in need of a RP character, you can use the art I post- Within reason! That means
To use it privately, not to repost on social media. Sharing it with your friends on discord, or on a roleplay site profile, with credit? Absolutely, that is fine! You can even draw them yourself, if you credit the design to me. You can post those, too. But -
Please don't have a different artist draw them for you. Respect that it's my design, don't let that thread to me get lost. In fact, you wanna know how to get a good rp character? Treat art you find that reminds you of them as reference. Maybe you like that nose, this hair-
Those wings or horns or jaw. And soon enough you'll have something independent, something that is yours alone.
And when that time comes - Maybe then you could commission an artist, to draw something that is all yours.

Learning to make OCs is no different than learning how to make art. We all copy in the beginning. Nobody can create something out of nothing. The important part is to move beyond copying, and find your own path. So, yeah- You can use my art. I understand you. I was there.
And maybe, when you're ready, I can make you something that's all your own.
