Here's the mega-thread on Russell Wilson's concerning performance versus the New York Giants.

Seattle's QB wasn't the lone problem last Sunday. Other Seahawks executed poorly; certain calls didn't work.

However, Wilson was the biggest issue. My analysis on 21 plays below ⬇️
*V1*

Opener. Nub + Tyler Lockett shift tells Wilson zone.

Bear spacing forces BOB protection. Ethan Pocic bullrushed.

Quick game MFO beater. RW didn't expect boundary curl dropper for seam; checks down. Fine but context important, curls will reappear
*V2*

Lockett shift from back tells Wilson 2 hi zone.

Metcalf has dig window (but it's a post) and RW sees Middle Run Thru LB opening that way. Designed for Lockett out-n-up.

Great, difficult honey hole throw. Context important, digs + MRT reappear
*V3*

Hyde shift tells Wilson 1 hi man.

Wilson holds fingers up for hot routes.

1 blitzer comes off left. Cover 0. Wilson must throw hot to the correctly adjusted Hollister. Wilson fails to ID.

Result: D encouraged to blitz, 2nd and 5? v 2nd and 10...
*V4*

2nd and 10. Maybe because of the DK window in *V2*, Wilson bullets to David Moore's nod InCut/"dover?"

Odd front w/sugared guards - RW expecting pressure? Instead it's Drop 8 Quarters. RW didn't feel this+wanted DM PreSnap. Nice to see anticipation
*V5*

Drive 2 opener

RW deciding on play. Ni tipped blitz pre-snap. Maybe RW saw it, maybe not - SEA isn't averse to running into certain blitzes

Duane Brown didn't know Hyde shifted back. He blocked IZ left, everyone else IZ right. DB got annoyed at RW
*V6*

Moore's motion + nub tells Wilson 2 hi zone.

PA Waggle post-wheel
Metcalf nestled in the zone hole, timed well
Cloud CB is held by Moore's wheel
RW scared of Cloud CB?
RW scared of MRT LB opening to his eyes + getting under it?
Checks down for 4
*V7*

PA heavy protect w/the 2 curls, it's a nice play v off

QQH

RW wants Freddie Swain, frightened about MRT opening that way

Comes back to DK, open behind+outside curl + beneath QTRs

DK waiting for ball, works back to QB as RW throws to his old spot
*V8*

SEA tried to get a tunnel screen to DK on this 3rd and 2. An easy and quick YAC play from UC w/inside run attached. Seahawks had the look out wide: leverage advantage + Duane Brown got out there.

Wilson fumbled the snap from Ethan Pocic. Turnover.
*V9*

Drive5 opener

Nub told RW zone

3D3U Ni blitz

PA max pro, Martinez H3 under TL

DK's blaze out a nice 1v1 beater vs. off CB. Seahawks get 18 yards

RW throws it late. Anticipation? Afraid of H2 or just wanting to ensure catch? Time almost runs out
*V10*

Move Lockett to trips bunch

NY 1hi PS

NY 2D5U Ni SimPressure. 2invert weakside to DK. Peppers MRT/SlotMatch to trips

RW thinks man? Right PassPro scary. Misses trips cloud CB. Comes back to man beater. 1/2 CB sat on it+curl under=7 yard scramble
*V11*

Spacing says 2hi zone

Wilson IDs Ni blitz PS

Moore's in-cut maybe an option route? RW scared of Cloud CB/S drive? It's open!

DK open in honey hole but RW thinking check down

RW sped up, only a sim pressure!

RW looks Carson; finds Hollister=6
*V12*

Different 2sim-odd w/sugared guards

Hyde gets free rusher in opposite B (nasty bndry curl disguise breaks Iupati)

Hyde loses before PostWheel develops

RW runs up; Swain post/deep-over open

RW aware of hit from behind? Lock drops late shallow CD
*V13*

3rd and 16

Lockett shift confirms zone

D8 3WK Buzz

Schotty calls mesh to give RW an easy completion+YAC

SEA looking to end 2MD w/FG

RW has DK shallow: get the available yards + FG!

RW stares it down for ages, overly scared of LB

Rushed CD INC
*V14*

0.24 2ndQ 1st and 15

Drop 8, 2man. Extra guy plays like a robber, gets in initial DK window

DK reads middle field open, breaks there. RW throws it to the sideline because? Intentional grounding

RW has pocket to move up in even w/Pocic bullrushed
*V15*

2nd and 7. Perfect pre-snap RPO call from Schotty

Seahawks have 3v1 (immediately), quick throwing behind a Ni blitz. WR screen could have gone to the house

RW scared of blitz, chucks it high + behind Lockett. TL fumbles at end. Gain limited to 5
*V16*

Same NYG concept as *V10* show 1hi PS

2D5U SimPress. Invert 2 to WS. Slot Match/MRT from Peppers to SS

RW sped up+never sees Swain open dig behind trips cloud CB

RW thinks man? Stares at Metcalf banana route, covered by 1/2 CB

WKcurl add on=sack
*V17*

NYG showing 1hi+hint at Ni SimPress

Spin to 2hi zone

RW has TL hitch open behind+outside curl

RW small pump to try move curl

RW looks to check down. Double pumps Carson (scared of tall DL) ball tipped+INT. TL looks to see why he didn't get ball
*V18*

Intermediate 2 high zone-beaters from SEA. Looking to switch release and high-low conflict the CB frontside.

Wilson has Moore's corner route with more anticipation. But he waits, scared of the cloud CB. Allows CB to sink.

Checks it down=9 yards
*V19*

Trips. #3+#2 hitch. Could be a 4 verts sight adjustment? 2hi zone. Wilson reading the MRT LB and thinking he has the window w/the hips opening. Martinez breaks, as does the strong curl. Dissly drop with 2 on him. #3 to #2 might be a better read...
*V20*

1st and 10. Last drive. The way NYG aligns to trips suggests man. Drop8 2man, extra guy is a spy

Lockett's stutter down the open middle field gets separation

RW wants Swain outnup - sweet route. RW overthrows it in honey hole, shoulda been picked
*V21*

RW knows he's getting zone because nub 3x1. Tampa 2 invert

Similar deal to *V19*

RW looking for #3 hitch, curl+curl converge - ball falls incomplete

More of a design thing, but reading 2to3 better? And gives you more chance of honey hole access?
There's more to it than Wilson playing bad. (This thread has 21 plays; SEA's offense had 72 snaps)

NYG had an excellent plan that kept RW skittish (3cloud to DK was mean). Intermediate PA routes were too shallow. Schotty should have run more. Run game had some terrible execution
