Another battle is brewing. Scot Gov redefined the term "woman" in legislation that considered representation on public boards. not be a woman to claim equal representation. Sound fair? @ForwomenScot have been given permission for a judicial review into legality of redefining woman away from that in the Equality Act, ie female. Court case 7-8th Jan, all donations v welcome to pay for legal fees please! 2/
But in the last month Scot Gov funded org, Equality Network, have angled to be able to intervene in the case (on the Gov's side, naturally) with their pro-bono lawyers. The consequence of which is that legal fees for little old @ForwomenScot (no gov funding, only personal donations) will increase. So, who is up for another #SexNotGender battle in 2021? And please do help donate to the case if you can.
